RELX Pods From Box to First Draw

Short answer: getting a RELX pod running is usually simple: confirm the right pod family, peel away the shipping packaging and seals, click the pod firmly into the matching RELX device, and draw gently. When the factory liquid is gone, lift the spent pod free and seat a new sealed compatible one.

Compatibility is the classic trap. RELX currently fields more than one pod platform: the slim Infinity/Artisan line sits on the Pod Pro platform, while Creator Pro runs its own Creator SilkMesh / Creator Pod format. Shape or brand name alone never picks the right pod.

The Format: Prefilled, Sealed, Replaceable

Today's RELX replacement pods arrive with liquid already inside. No bottled e-liquid is needed before installation.

RELX's own Pod Pro 2 instructions describe a pod that works straight out of the box on a compatible RELX device once the protective packaging is off. An empty pod gets replaced — never opened, never refilled.

Step 1: Pin Down the Pod Family

Know your full device model before tearing into any pod package.

This compatibility section stays brief on purpose. The complete model-by-model matrix lives in Vapmo's RELX Pod Compatibility Guide.

One rule worth memorizing: platform first, flavor second.

Step 2: Strip the Shipping Protection

Current RELX pod instructions generally want every shipping protection off before installation.

By pod format, that can mean the outer wrapper, a dustproof or mouthpiece silicone cap, and a protective base seal or sticker.

Remove only the protective pieces the supplied instructions name. Structural components stay in place, the reservoir stays unpunctured, and the sealed e-liquid system stays closed.

Step 3: Seat the Pod

Drop the correct pod into the top of the matching device until it sits firm and the electrical contacts engage.

On classic RELX Pod Pro hardware, the magnetic coupling guides the pod home. Depending on model, a light, vibration or display cue may confirm recognition.

Creator Pro wants its own Creator-format pod, but the hand motion stays identical: attach the matching pod securely, then draw.

Never force a pod that refuses to settle. Resistance or an obviously wrong fit means stop and re-check compatibility — not push harder.

Step 4: Draw Gently to Fire It

Current RELX closed-pod devices fire on the inhale. Pod seated correctly? Puff gently through the mouthpiece.

RELX's pod instructions specifically call for a gentle draw, and for holding the device upright or close to it — not tipping the pod upside down while vaping.

Swapping in a New Pod

Replacement just runs installation backward:

  1. Lift out the spent pod. Straight up and away from the device.
  2. Inspect the device opening. Check that no pooled liquid or debris sits around the contact area.
  3. Prep the new compatible pod. Pull the protective seals the instructions show.
  4. Seat the new pod firmly.
  5. Wait for the model's usual connection cue, if it has one.
  6. Draw gently.

A used pod, once out, never goes back for a refill. The Pod Pro 2 and Creator pods currently on Vapmo are sealed, pre-filled replacements.

Knowing When the Pod Is Done

RELX's plainest directive: replace the pod when the original e-liquid is finished.

Many RELX pods show remaining liquid through the body or a visible reservoir. Combine that physical evidence with how your specific device normally acts.

No fixed day count survives contact with reality. Pod capacity, device output, draw length and frequency set the consumption pace together.

Pod lifespan and empty-detection have a dedicated guide of their own on Vapmo. This installation walkthrough sticks to the replacement procedure and leaves lifespan estimates where they belong.

Pod Won't Connect or Fire?

Start with the simple, non-invasive checks:

  1. Confirm compatibility again. Creator Pods and Pod Pro-family pods never cross over.
  2. Verify every shipping seal is off.
  3. Lift and reseat the pod. It has to sit securely.
  4. Check the battery. A flat cell blocks everything.
  5. Keep pod base and device contacts dry. Wipe light condensation off external contact surfaces with a clean dry cloth.
  6. Try another genuine compatible pod if one is nearby.

Still dead after the basics? Stop there. No scraping contacts, no metal tools, no opening the pod, no bridging electrical contacts, no dismantling the device.

Condensation vs. an Actual Leak

A little condensation around the pod connection is normal territory; a persistent leak is a different animal.

For everyday external care: keep the pod base and device contact zone dry, with a clean dry cloth handling light moisture. Never pour cleaner into the device opening or push liquid into the electrical contacts.

A steadily leaking pod, a device wet on the inside, or a cracked or damaged pod means stop and contact support — not one more reinstall attempt.

Pod Pro 2: The Standard Sequence

RELX's current Pod Pro 2 guidance runs a clean sequence:

  1. confirm the pod and device match;
  2. take off the wrapper, mouthpiece/dust cap and base seal;
  3. seat the pod in the device;
  4. wait for the usual light or connection response, where applicable;
  5. draw gently;
  6. replace the pod once empty.

Vapmo's current Pod Pro 2 listings span single-pod and multi-pod regional formats. Package count, capacity and nicotine strength can vary, so the physical package stays the final product reference even where the install steps look identical.

Creator Pro: Its Own Pod Universe

Creator Pro takes a larger Creator-format pod engineered for that platform alone — and RELX states plainly that it does not accept previous-generation Pod Pro or standard RELX Pods.

The hand motion feels familiar — attach pod, inhale — but the compatibility rule belongs to a different universe.

Creator Pro owners should buy the Creator Pod / Creator SilkMesh option made for that device. Shoving a Pod Pro 2 into the Creator opening to "test" it is not an experiment worth running.

Refilling: Not on the Menu

Not for the sealed pre-filled Pod Pro 2 and Creator formats covered here.

RELX's own instructions say the pod needs no disassembly and gets replaced when empty. Vapmo's current RELX brand page likewise lists them as sealed pre-filled closed-system pods.

Keeping Spare Pods

RELX wants spare pods kept cool, dry and dark, away from major heat, cold or pressure swings.

Unopened pods stay sealed in their packaging until needed. An opened pod follows current package guidance and never sits exposed where dust, debris or heat can reach the mouthpiece or contacts.

A RELX Pod Routine That Works

  1. Know your device platform by name.
  2. Buy the matching pod family.
  3. Keep spares sealed until needed.
  4. Strip the required protective seals.
  5. Firm seat, zero force.
  6. Draw gently.
  7. Keep external contacts dry.
  8. Swap the whole pod once its original liquid is gone.

Quick Answers

What's the right way to insert a RELX pod?

Check compatibility, strip the protective packaging and seals, seat the pod firmly, and wait for your model's usual connection response if it gives one.

Do RELX pods need filling before first use?

No. Today's Pod Pro 2 and Creator replacement pods come pre-filled from the factory.

Which RELX pod fits my device?

Take the complete model name to the current compatibility guide. Infinity/Artisan Pod Pro-platform hardware and Creator Pro share nothing in pod families.

What does a pod swap look like?

Lift the used pod out, strip the seals from a new genuine compatible pod, seat it firmly, and draw gently.

New pod does nothing — now what?

Re-check compatibility, lift and reseat the pod, confirm the device is charged, keep external contacts dry, and try another genuine compatible pod if one is available. Dismantling or bypassing the device stays off the table.

Does Pod Pro 2 work in Creator Pro?

No. Creator Pro runs the dedicated Creator Pod / Creator SilkMesh format and turns previous-generation Pod Pro pods away.

Is refilling a RELX pod an option?

No. The pre-filled closed-system pods covered here get replaced when empty — never opened, never refilled.

Wrap-Up

RELX pods get easy the moment installation is pulled apart from compatibility.

Installation is the easy half: unpack the correct pod, remove the seals, seat it firmly, draw gently. Compatibility is the part to verify before paying: Pod Pro-family devices and Creator Pro run different replacement-pod platforms.

Adult-use notice: This content targets adults 21+ in the United States. Prefilled pods may contain nicotine; nicotine is addictive. Confirm pod compatibility, nicotine strength, package format and instructions for the exact product. Never open, refill, puncture, rebuild, or force an incompatible pod into a device.
